Wrap that Bottle!
Left-over turkey has been made into Turkey Soup on boxing day. What’s next? Next was I received an e-mail from Sister Mom asking me if I’m going over to her son’s place for dinner? Sure, if I can bring along Beloved Cousin. Pause, it was a long pause, before I received a response back. Response: Approved.
Arriving at the party, the first thing I noticed were bottles of vino lined up on the kitchen counter. I excitedly claimed one of the bottles, unopened. I WANT this bottle. Everybody looked at me giving me the “eye”. You guys, you know very well I don’t drink, I just want the bottle. No can do because there is an opened bottle yet to be finished. No, nobody wants to drink. Beloved Nephew A, Sister Mom’s son, has a hang-over and colds. The women in our family are not drinkers. The men, they had their fill. Uncle D wants his complexion to return to its normal color. It was reddish pink by the time we left him on Boxing Day from too much drinking red wine.
I poured the wine from the opened bottle to whoever had glasses because I can’t wait for them to drink up. The rest of the bottles remained unopened.
And what did I do with the wine bottle? Time Capsule!
It’s a wrap. The bottle has been thoroughly wrapped, Mummified actually. For sure this will survive more than the Titanic did.
Tomorrow, I will go to English Bay in Vancouver, rain or shine, to release the bottle. Bid it goodbye and good luck for Year 2013. Then I will watch the Traditional Polar Bear Swim and take plenty of pictures. I finally received a camera from Santa, a hand me down camera.
Oh, I promised that I will share the pictures in the Facebook and WordPress. Stay tuned.
I would like to end this year with a prayer blessings:
“Our lives are made of days and nights, of seasons and years, for we are part of a universe of suns and moons and planets. We mark ends and we make beginnings and, in all, we praise God for the grace and mercy that fill our days. Blessings to you all on this New Year 2013. Amen.”
