Polite Company – Boring
Life will be too B-O-R-I-N-G without having to discuss religion or politics. How will I get to know the person should I avoid discussing religion and politics?
If that is the case, they can very well politely say “I’m sorry, it’s against my religion to discuss these topics.”
And here is a person who combined both politics and religion.
Martin Luther King, Jr. born this day in 1929, led the civil rights movement in the United States from the mid-1950s until his assassination in 1968 and was the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964.
This is in response to Daily Prompt: Polite Company. Come and join us.

Hmm.. my heart is glowing after listening to Mr. Luther, Jr. He has so much to teach us about religion and politics. Thank you for taking the time to finding and sharing this video. It’s a wonderful gift. I have goose bumps as I listened to him. And God Almighty, Free At Last for the Black population in USA. God Bless you, Ms. D34.

Talk about two subjects that can be so polarizing. My husband and his brother are on the opposite sides of the fence on politics. When they get together, all they do is argue politics all day long. Makes my head hurt.

A civilized discussion can be very entertaining. Argue…it’s a no win situation. Use an earplug Miss Bella.

I believe that discussing religion or politics reveals much about a person. I am comfortable with my views and do not mind speaking on either subject, even with strangers.

It is hard for me to understand people who REFUSE to discuss either topic. I can understand if the person is simply uneducated on the topic, but I think it is good to learn from each other and discuss these things in a very honest way. No doubt there are hot button issues, but personally I enjoy talking about both.

I do love to talk about both Religion & Politics, but I think its all in the “how” you do it. I tend to listen more than I “talk”, oh I’ll put in a pithy statement here and there that would give you a general overview of my beliefs, but I’m more interested in OPENING peoples minds, not changing them. I say THINK BIG…but do small things, everyday. Very much like Martin Luther King, JR.
